Helena Ramsbacher, owner of the hotel, who loved to spend her free time in Sutivan, not only suggested a nice collaboration. Rather, she gave me the confidence that together we can make something great out of a few old stone houses. And so it was! Eight years have passed and my love and enthusiasm for “Hotel Lemongarden” continues. I enjoy my work with our guests and with the wonderful team. Every completed and upcoming project brings me a lot of joy. Because the “Hotel Lemongarden” is growing and constantly improving day by day – and so am I. I am very grateful that I have been given the opportunity to stay in my birthplace and do the work I love so much. At the same time, with the growth of “Hotel Lemongarden”, I also contribute a lot to the growth and development of this small fishing village. Working with a view of a flower garden, of a harbour where almost exclusively fishing boats linger, of a crystal clear sea and olive groves, is all I need, because I experience it every day! Working where others go on vacation. What keeps motivating me? The passion as a host, the interaction with people, the daily inspiration, the exclusivity of the hotel, the intercultural skills, and the joy of doing. For more than two decades, I have been intimately connected to the 5-star superior hotel “Schloss Seefels”. Already during my training at the renowned Bad Gleichenberg Tourism School, I completed a groundbreaking internship as concierge. That was in 1999. The Seefels fire was lit immediately and is still burning today. As Food & Beverage Manager, I took great pleasure in taking care of the multi-award-winning gastronomy of this very busy hotel for 17 years. Three years ago, hotelier Helena Ramsbacher gave me even more responsibility. As resident manager with Lavanttal roots, I combine Carinthian joie de vivre with an empathetic worldliness. My declared goal is to inspire both international guests and locals for the unique Seefels flair. In doing so, I focus on acting as a role model for my team. BETTINA FRUHSTUCK Resident Manager, Das Tyrol BARBARA SOFFRITTI Resident Manager, Hotel Schloss Seefels Growing up as a guest house child on Lake Wörthersee, I was always fascinated by the art of hospitality, which made people happy – the guests as well as the hosts – and brought together people from different countries, languages, and cultures. So it was clear to me very early on where my professional path was to lead me: from hotel management school to the most exclusive five-star hotels in the most exciting cities in Europe, where I learned languages, experienced culture, and took great pleasure in always discovering new things. After many years abroad I followed the call of home and four years ago a destiny called “Seefels”. Four years at the castle, characterized by great changes that set the course of the Wörthersee architectural jewel to today’s “style icon”. As a native of Techelsberg, it fills me with pride to be able to manage the five-star superior hotel with its unique combination of contemporary art, classic design, exclusive furnishings, and excellent quality together with Florian Scheichenbauer at what is probably the most beautiful place on Lake Wörthersee. When I applied for a job as a receptionist at the hotel “Das Tyrol” in 2009, I never thought that one day I would take on a management position in this hotel. Immediately after my apprenticeship, I originally wanted to work in the five-star hotel industry – something smaller was really out of the question for me. And yet here I am, 14 years later, the assistant director of a 30-room four-star property, and I couldn’t be happier. What was the reason? When I met Mrs. Ramsbacher after my job interview, it quickly became clear to me: I want to work for this woman. Today, I am glad to have made this decision and not only to be able to manage our “Das Tyrol” alongside Mrs. Ramsbacher, but also to plan many exciting projects with her – including, above all, the opening of the “Hotel Lemongarden” (2016) and the “Knappenhof” (2021). We are an unbeatable team and I am proud that we are so successful with our hotels. I was recently asked if I could imagine working at the “Tyrol” until I retire. It’s going to take a while, but I can answer that question immediately: yes, and I think I will! 13
